Poem -
" THE FINAL TICK "
Back flew the bolt, some years ago
Weaning itself from supple milk
Plying the needle and thread, arose
A flamboyant display of will
For surely there is no greater wisdom
Than in the onset of things,
Big Bang to Baby's birth
There's purity
In the beginnings of things,
And through the aperture of change,
The photographic eye
Of the soul's remembrance,
LendsĀ so soft a light
To life's lovely dangers,
And inĀ an isolated instant
Of recognition,
Age & wisdom are of the quick,
Where a handshake means the world
And a kiss is still a kiss
Where,
There awaits
A warm welcoming,
Of each
Individuals,
Life-clock,
And,
Its final tick....

I might overlook some things in this big bro, and I really enjoyed the lines that Philip mentioned, but when you say those lines about a handshake meaning the world and a kiss is just a kiss, it's that wisdom and goodness of age when we canĀ appreciate the things that matter as we fall into our places. Has an old timey feel of good people showing their nature for the rightness of it and no other reason. You are always a great read for the inspiring prose. Peace.
