The First Time I Saw You

The First Time I Saw You

The first time I saw you
My beating heart was going to become yours
A beautiful man, who’s filled with perfection
You told me I was easy on the eyes

Set my soul on fire from the first time I saw you
I was never going to let you go
Fantasized about what we could be
What was like to call you mine

Now you’re gone and I can’t get you back
I ended up with decisions I never knew would destroy us
As nights drag along, I’m wide awake
Thinking about the damage I have done

I never really hit it off with anyone else
You were so special to me
Now, you’ll never know the love I had for you
I’m sorry
