The Flower & The Gardener

The Flower & The Gardener

"The Flower & The Gardener "
A spark was once instantly created. Filling a void where at one point a lonely heart was located. A soft spot of soil that rocks and debris had vacated. A Gardener's hands gently placed a tiny seed right there and he felt so elated. He provided nourishment and water attentively to the seed. Repeating the process on a daily basis because he knew that that's what the seed would need. As each day passed the seed grew into a blossoming flower who's beauty the gardener's expectations did exceed. Tirelessly and determined the gardener never gave up caring for the flower even until his hands would bleed. With no sleep or caring of himself, the flowers health was paramount, of that the gardener did believe. Stretching out to the heavens from the ground the flower was the most beautiful and that was plain to see. Then suddenly as the gardener gathered some water the flower sprouted out legs and began to walk away, now free. The void appeared once again, so when he returned with water and saw the empty space he fell down to his knees. Confusion and sadness overwhelmed the gardener's mind because he thought that there was a love that was guaranteed. All the countless hours, every countless day. Little did he know that the flower would one day stray. The flower left with no regard, not for one second caring that forever the gardener would be scarred. All the effort and devotion meant nothing to the flower. Now this empty void removed all happiness and love the gardener had like some sort of cosmic power. He felt defeated, he felt lost he felt like his soul had been devoured. He gathered up some soil and gently covered the hole where the beautiful flower did once tower. The gardener stood up and walked back home in what felt like a trip that lasted for hours. He was once again alone and felt like he would never have the love for his heart to feel empowered. Then he realized that on his table on top of an envelope there was one solitary glowing Cerulean Blue seed. He thought to himself, oh my goodness this is exactly what I need. He ran outside and planted the seed in a new spot near a stream. He began the routine on a daily basis but it didn't feel like he thought it would seem. Instead of a flower like that of a Dogwood blossom, a beautiful figure began to emerge. All the feelings of loneliness and sadness had just been purged. The Fall came after Summer with the colors, the scent, the camping and fires. The Gardener new he now had  something  amazing to admire. The beautiful figure outstretched its hands and said "We'll help each other grow that's how it should be. Not only are you my gardener but the locksmith who finally was able to open my heart with your key."
