The force of nature 🦉

The force of nature 🦉

I wouldn’t wanna be a tree, I do not like the cold

I couldn’t grin and bear the winters weather, coz I would probably have to grow old

Trees usually mature to a ripe old age, at least that is what I am told

And they stand outside in every cycle of a season, brawny, brave and bold

I don’t fancy being a flower either, blowing about in a blustery breeze

I could probably manage in the summer sunshine, but not very well in the frosty freeze

And I would absolutely hate being a daffodil, often shaded by those tallest trees

Oh my goodness me, no way could I ever be a flower, providing pollen to the honey bees

Now let me think what on earth I would prefer to be, if in order to survive, I needed the force of nature?

Yes I think I know the answer to this, I would be a clandestine, countryside creature

I have always found a fascination with Mother earth, I would love her as my teacher

And out of all of those prowlers of the night, I would want to be a wise old Ooly Owl screecher

Haha but seriously I am only human after all, I will never grow wild and free

Needing only pure rain water and that good old sizzling sunshine, to nourish me

I guess I am truly blessed, not to live my life as an animal or a tree

But I do appreciate Mother nature, she manages everything on our living planet..so magnificently…
