The forest of fascination 🌲

I hear whispers as I wander thru these wonderful woods

Are they words of warning, or simply sounds of solace from these tall trunks wearing hoods ?

Yet I wonder, can a tree really talk and do they have any attitudes?

As bending boughs creak and groan, within their melancholy moods

So I stop for a while and I rest on a solitary stone

There is nobody else in these woods, I am totally alone

And I pass the time of day, scrolling through Facebook on my phone

When once again, something has startled me..I hear a menacing moan

So all in a panic and a bit of a state

I run like the wind, as if I am going to be late

Back to the beginning and I open the gate

That forest of fascination would not be my fate

But I would come back with some company, and I could hardly wait…
