The Fox in my hollyhocks 💕

I looked out of my window in the middle of the night
Sparkling stars were shining like little beacons in the full moonlight
But there standing on all fours amidst my pink Hollyhocks
Was the most spectacular fiery rusty red fly fox
Well I was flabbergasted I couldn’t believe my eyes
To see this wondrous colourful creature in my garden was such an astonishing surprise
He saw me immediately as I pulled my curtain to the side
Tho I was peeping from behind it trying my very best to hide
But here was a wild fox with an acute sense of smell
His little nose had sniffed me from indoors I could tell
We stared at each other, two strangers in the night
As shadows danced from the blowing branches in the bright moonlight
His beauty was beyond belief with his pointy nose and ears
The poor soul seemed on edge full of frightful fears
Yet as he crouched his body down he bowed his little head
then he darted like a red roe deer and away he fled..

Awww Thanks Jim my lovely lad 💕💙💕
Wow, that`s amazing Jill! More majestic than us dingos... Can`t say there in the backyard though, more like Koalas and the odd Kangaroo across the Gully... Are foxes rare in the UK?
