The fruits of my labour đź’•

The fruits of my labour đź’•

Weaving in and out, back and forth along this large loom

I sit slightly squinting, amidst a flickering candle light in the corner of my craft room

My window is slightly ajar so I inhale a hint of strong, sweet perfume

As a freshness of floribunda cascades from my flourishing bloom

And  I am starting to see the results from my laborious labour

I am creating an intricate, woven, wool picture for my lovely neighbour

Bless her, she lives next-door and she is such an old beautiful soul

And of late she has been feeing under the weather and dug herself into a little hole

So I am hoping that this fruits of my labour will brighten up her mood

Back to her old, cheery self with a hearty appetite for food…
