~ The Girl At The Edge Of The World ~
At the edge of the world, sat a girl
With a wall of faces, in the wash, just off shore
With these mythological seas, teaching, teaching, teaching
Of naivete' unfurled, as a fine blue mist settled, across the world...
At the very bottom of this, sublimely seamless blue mist
Lay hidden, that which, no man could resist
A powerful promise, of pleasure and treasures
A promise, of a perfect, pink and blue kiss...
Shall I disguise myself, become one with this misting mist?
Thought the girl who's life force had taken this strange twist,
Perhaps there's a wince, that helps disguise such odd instants
Thought, mythological kings and queens, governors and gods,
Perhaps there's a wheel, that simply spins and spins, on and on?...
Just then, at the edge of the world, a bright bubble burst
Into insincere blocks of wisdom, and opulent, popping, thirsts
Causing pure energies promises, of pleasures and treasures
To bring young men screaming, into alternate worlds...
Where universal freedoms, throughout the stars for a cause
Brought the 'vanquiship' of light speed, by just drawing out quarks
And the 'incommunicado', between silent or irrelevant friends
Allowing the cradled balance of all things, to come to an end...
At the edge of the world, sat a girl, wrapped in blue swirls
With all of her wisdom, and the very pulse of this world
"She were lucky she was!"
She wore a gentleman's perfume, adorned by a single plume
"She were lucky she was."
For the plume it seemed, was her father's last wish
A wish that she'd no longer glean, as a seamless blue mist...
So she quieted herself, as a glorious new energy, burst from her hips
Enfolding the world, in a love, never known to exist
Then all the world, scratching their heads, thought who is this blue girl
As young men lined up, and yearned, for a perfect, pink and blue kiss
It was this, that concluded, a most magnificent tale
Told by a girl, that sat quietly, at the edge of the world...

Tony, you have this talent for writing profound poetry in an elegant format, that just spills with imagery and subtle sweet meanings. This is a beautiful narrative my friend. I have been sat dwelling on your words. Because this is one of those writes that requires some contemplation and delving. Which I love. For me I sense this girl who has become almost reborn, attached to the universal knowledge, that shines and causes her to be desirable to those who step into her light. A light her own father wished her to find. Just gorgeous writing and a true keeper for me

Its gonna take me some time to get to the bottom of this .. but I reckon I'm gonna love every moment of trying .. In the meantime however, I have no hesitation in espousing the various merits of "The Girl at the Edge of the World" .. word choice is exemplary .. content, form and flow can not be faulted ... all in all a terrific tale told terribly well .. A fairy tale for adults no less ......................................................... and one to return to again and again methinks ........................................... properly pinned, suitably starred and deliriously liked, with a handful of rockets thrown in for good measure .... N :)
