The God In Her Arms
I've known the magic in her arms before
I know this because
Her hug is home to me now
And when it's most efficacious
I am beyond myself
With Love's limitless wonder
Where the memory of her arms
Sweeps me away
To the place
Where her Love translates
To the ornate awareness
That is her warm embrace
Forcing me
To take this Love of ours
With tear-filled eyes,
As it's the God in her arms
Enhancing my soul
And teaching me of
The harmonious
Aspect,
Of spiritual
Love...

Ah Tony...isn't this the very essence of what we all want and need...to find somewhere to belong?? And when that somewhere is the "warm embrace" of another; then the world is a warm and tender place indeed.

My Dear Brother Poet Tony,
Before I read another line, I must tell you that your command of the English language, far outshines that of this professed etymologist. You oft times force me to ask "Webster" about a word you have used, whose meaning is foreign to me. Yet, when I look up it's meaning, it has been used perfectly to illustrate the raw emotion of your heart and soul. Today's word was the last one in your fourth line, "efficacious". Now I shall proceed. As usual, your beautiful poem has taken me to the stars, with its' power and depth. I think I can sum it up in one line.
