The Grandest Lie

How strange it is
That since you died
It is I
Who feels unsafe

Unsteady
On a pointless rock
Rotating
In deep space

For I've discovered that
There is no sky
Just clouds that mask
The Grandest Lie

And when they open
There is nothing there
No god, no angel,
no white stair

Just spaceĀ
Just space
Just space

Being Me

For I've discovered that
There is no sky
Just clouds that mask
The Grandest Lie

And what a lie it is too!Ā  These lines flow so well and illustrate theĀ  perfect volta (turning point) to this poem. Brilliant as always x
