THE GRATITUDE TREE

Please let me rest a while under the gratitude tree
I am ever so thankful to have eyes that see
The gratitude tree is placed on lovely warm ground
All the time I am grateful to hear every sound 

I love the gratitude tree its branches are large and tall
Been coming to visit this landmark since I was small
For I have two legs that help me to walk 
Something in my throat also enables me to talk

Time never stands still and will always move on 
The gratitude tree will remain when other things have gone
