The Gravity of Everything

The Gravity of Everything

When we fight, the whole earth collapses. I create monsoons with my mind until the entire world is flooded, and everyone is sentenced to wearing damp clothes forever. I send lightning bolts crashing through my hands, never ceasing, and it's really just God flicking the lights on and off again. You breathe fire when you speak with such a passion that I don't know how your belly contains it. You strike a match on your heel, and all of me implodes.
But oh God when we love, time stops on its axis, pretends to forget that it's supposed to keep moving forward. We speak in colors and caress each other's body's with nothing but our eyes. Constellations wrap themselves around us like a blanket, go ahead and call us star crossed lovers.
