The heart of a moon

if the moon
had a heart
it might feel me
gazing up
only me here
in my darkness
in my blackness
in my fear
if the moon
had a heart
it might know
my upturned eyes
might take pity
on the searching
of my head
turned to the skies
if the moon
had a heart
it would surely
raise me now
bathe me
in it's comfort
place it's glow
upon my brow
but the moon
has no heart
nor any sight
to know or see
how I wait
within this darkness
just as lost
as lost can be

wonderful poem
Thanks so much Greg x
This is what I thought of when I read your poem — When you are lost in a dark place trying to connect with the moon. Your words are brilliant because they are sharp and so sharp they sparkle. I am so sorry you are travelling this journey of darkness ...your words are bloody brilliant though xx
Wow...what words you've written there Tina, are they yours or a quote from somewhere? Anyway...thankyou love ❤
Oh it's from something I wrote years and years ago...your poem just really resonated with me and reminded me of those words so I thought I'd share them with you...because your poem here is just pure brilliance. I know exactly what you are getting at because I've been in a similar state of mind too and it sucks ( state of mind not your poem that is awesome) xx
Did you? You should re publish it on here Tina, I'd love to read it 😊😊
