THE HOLIDAY INN

THE HOLIDAY INN

On a ship around Africa
Like a holiday inn
With our suitcases and worth
like the mainland

Down the coast of west Africa
To wavis bay and Capetown
Whilst eating and drinking
The smoking deck lounges

The suns beaming down
As I lay on the deck
Thinking 🤔 are we truly free…
As we sail with the currents

A flock of bird's flank portside
In formation and I smile ☺️
A dolphin 🐬 pod makes an appearance
To welcome us to their sea world
Flying fish 🐟 break the boarder
From the sea underworld
As  a giant slow swimming turtle 🐢
Tries to follow off Abeam to port

But still I'm kinda thinking
in the back of my mind
I'm confined to entrapments and marketing.
