The hungry Heron

The hungry Heron

I heard the Daddy Moorhen yelp and yearn when I saw the hungry Heron in the burn.. Mammy Moorhen and her two baby chicks was tucked up in a nest made of reeds and sticks..So little did they know about their threatened fate without a doubt..

Well I stood on the edge of the riverside as the Daddy Moorhen cried and cried.. I yelled and flipped and flapped my arms to raise an awareness of alarms.. All at once the lanky Heron fled as shrills of woe was in my head.. I was certain the two chicks had met their ill fate and felt the feathered Fathers fearful frustrate

I cursed Mother nature that awful night but somehow by the hands of God these two tiny black fluff balls were alright.. Mind you that long skinny Heron will return I bet.. she know’s they are there and will not forget.. I guess a Heron has to eat to survive and thrive so woe betide any little wandering creatures that are alive..

A Lonely Journey

Hi My Wonderful Friend,
What a harrowing, intense, write. You're so good. I hope they're OK.
Life is funny, isn't it? Beautiful creatures, and the circle of life. It's sad, but necessary, I guess. Maybe it's a part of our learning process here, I don't know.
But thanks for your intriguing, intelligent write, and for making me think. I don't think too much since I had by brain removed by an angry milk maid, but you made me.
Several hugs,
Matthew.
