The jackpot

To be a millionaire is my dream,
maybe I could win at a casino.
When I hit the jackpot I might scream,
dancing and celebrating with a big ego.
I could be the next Bill Gates,
given first place for the richest spinster.
Living life on the fast lane with my mates.
The casino could be my poverty-buster.
I might be on the Oprah Winfrey's show,
walking with my nose in the air.
Dressed to impress, she will say wow.
But I don't want gambling to be my flair.
The casino is like a magnetic force,
it pulls you in and sucks you dry.
Only God is a trustworthy source,
if I trust the machines, I will cry.
I think, is going to a casino so wrong,
Does it show my greed and love for money?
Desiring to be rich, to sing a blissful song.
The table might turn, end up a pauper.
I don't want the casino to be my addiction.
I don't want money to be my obsession.
God deserves my love and devotion.
Money can be a poisonous potion.
