Poem -
The Kiss
...................................................................to celebrate my birthday on Oct. 28th...
I met her at the yonder dance,
She mentioned she was leaving.
This be shattered romance?
My heart was dashed and reeling!
Glimmer of hope; I did detect,
I stunned her with my kiss!
How was I to know of the effect?
She told me it was bliss.
We got married in a hurry!
Went on our honeymoon.
Life was then a flurry!
It settled down too soon.
Her list to pass; were none,
I stunned her with my kiss!
She said I was the one,
How to know I couldn't miss?
People; pondering fleeting love,
Surprised to find it be in this!
Attributes to fit a glove,
And stunning her with the kiss!
