The ladder of life

I am climbing the ladder of life
I am well past three-quarter’s to the top
I am not sure how far I shall climb it before I have to stop

Only my destiny will know this answer tho I don’t want him to tell me, I’d prefer to keep on plodding up each step clinging on with positivity

Ah our beautiful ladder of life
with ups & downs of uncertainty
never-the-less each & every one of us ascends its wrungs with definity

We simply have no alternative
as timelessness does never cease, our clock ticks on till the day we are done & alas rested in peace
