The Ladder of Life 🙏

One and all has to fulfil obligations and responsibilities to perhaps a husband or a wife

Yet there will be woe-begotten anxieties with worry and strife

Within unforeseen circumstances, just like our unpredictable weather that can sever sharply, like a knife

Now that stairway to the very top we may never, ever reach, akin to yonder hazy horizon looking out from a windswept beach

But we gain learned knowledge along that long ladder of life, and we pass on to others what we practise and preach

Alas there shall always be those less fortunate than ourselves, wherein hopefully our actions, may help urge such souls to seek help and beseech

Onwards and upwards we hold on to Lifes slippery slope, when all one can do to survive sometimes, is to pray and hope

Negativity is a nonsensical attitude, which would completely cut us off from that reality of a tightrope

Whilst positivity is a much better approach, to lead us through and beyond that road to uncertainty, it never pays one to mope
