The Lazarus effect
Will not be forthcoming
To humanity in its extinction
No miracle revival
No spiritual rebirth
In the human form
I hate to sound so forlorn
I'd prefer to be hopeful
And wax lyrical of the future
With everything it holds
In a wonderous way
Just a simple truth
About what we've in store
If we don't change soon
Then it will be the end of it all
No happy endings
If we follow this same path
The future won't be light
The future will only be dark.
