The Letter of Letters:
I Wrote Just For You
I met you at a junction where letters intertwine,
oh how lucky my eyes are
to capture a moving picture so divine.
And who would have guessedÂ
that a hope so new and free,
would stretch forth its wings to take flight from within me?
The poet held inside awakens from its slumber,
allowing me to profess the essence of your wonders.
And at last at that same junction where letters intertwine;
they twist, turn, and form
—
in ways to call you mine.
I dilly and dally where letters intertwine,
in defiance of a heart determined to make you mine.
Giving into my desires may make me thrice a fool,
yet I hope the charm is present…and this time because of you.
Your heart is a valley needing patience to climb, and mine a steady stream that thirsts for sunshine.
If deserts have rain—
I haven’t a clue.
But such a universe I’ll choose, by means to be with you.
And if ever you doubt this love to be true;
Do not think yourself weak, for choosing to peek…
into the letter of letters, that I wrote just for you.

that touches the deepest of a young heart.
