The lies we tell ourselves
Are untruths from deep within
Overlooking and deceiving
A wretched type of sin

We get lost in our own lies
Trapped by their insanity
Absent truth and loyalty
Threaten all humanity

Elude and cover our honest will
Conceal what's deep inside
Cause what is truth , when truth is gone
Hidden by contempt and pride

Honesty and Loyalty fare you well
There is no room for both truth and lies 
For one will outcast the other
And all affection dies

The more you believe the things that deceive 
The truer they become to you
When the lies we tell ourselves take over
