The Logic

THE LOGIC

The logic was magnificent!
You couldn't have denied it!
The Wars were inevitable - for man's nature, is violent...
Throughout era's of destruction,
and ages of conquest...
The fires burned, and the blood was spilled...
His thirst for power - never quenched,
and his turbulent lustings - never fulfilled.
The stars...have limits...
And be not confused, when you consider wealth.
The riches in life - seem like the least important!
Until you no longer have family, friends, or your health!

The wisdom was flawless...
Who would have known?!
It took years of growing old,
to actually learn what we're told - while some still don't " get it" - and they're fully grown!

It was completely obvious...
from the very beginning,
that a war was raging - and GREED - was winning!
The light was failing, from the very dawn of Man...

But there are embers glowing...
Sparks still flaring!
Determination in our eye's - we stand defiant and glaring!
"We will not go gently!"- scream those who stand together, but the battle within - rages onward, forever!
Leaving only the strong, in body, mind, and soul...
To regain their composure, their will -and self-control.

These...were the ones who saw things so clearly,
who valued this country - and loved it so dearly!
Who lost sons and daughters,
in the massacres and slaughters - and fighting new wars - it seems, almost yearly!!

The logic...was magnificent.
But it was mistaken.
The rules were bent - to the point of breakin'!
Now we reap the the harvest, of the seeds that were sown - by an obsolete culture - that the world has outgrown!
And a need for unity,
like no one's ever known...

And the logic in that?
Simply magnificent!??
