The Loyal One

The Loyal One

Is their someone
Out there who
Knocks upon my door
Who bleeds behind
Closed curtains
Who my heart
Chose to ignore
Is their someone
Who constantly screams
My name
In hopes that I might hear
In hopes that it might change
Who has fought
A good fight
loved the battle wounds
And fears
Just to show me
A loyal soul
That falls on deaf ears
Is there someone
Who still cares
Someone who's still there
I want to recognize
Your face
Before that beauty
Dissappears

Hello Curious. This piece brings up so many emotions for that I'm not sure where to start. I think I have been on both sides of this ink, the one asking and the one screaming. Very emotional write. Blessings, Rebecca

Thanks to you immensely Rebecca! Neither side is a fun place to be. Slowly but surely I'm making my way around the funnel visiting all my friends pages in an effort to catch up, can't wait to see your talent!
