The magical old oak tree?♀️?♀️
I peeped inside a tiny house
As I wandered through the wood
In disbelief I spied a pixie elf
She was feeding all her brood
As I rested on my ramble
At the foot of an old oak tree
I came across a little door
Curiousity bothered me
If I hadn’t sat upon the grass
Perching my back against the bark
I would have never seen this hidden gem
& Continued with my walk
But I heard the strangest sound
I have ever heard before
It seemed to echo all around
As I was studying the floor
I thought it sounded like small bells
A-ringing ting-a-ling-a-ling
With an angelic voice so beautiful
How sweetly she did sing
“Oh butterfly be my carriage, you pretty little thing
Carry my children so carefully ontop of your fragile wing
Take them away to Pixie land where they can serenade the king,
A-ring-a-ting-a-ling-a-ling”
A- ring-a-ting-a-ling
I was astonished, then I realised
Exactly what I saw
A family of pixie elves
All dwelling through a door
Though I was big, they didn’t see me
I am very pleased to say
I hope to spy on them again
I’m coming back another day
So if you stumble on something
Magical
When you are visiting a wood
Don’t be scared, say not a word
Just search around where you are stood
You may hear the smallest sound
Or a ringing in your ear
Whatever you do, don’t make a noise
Or you will scare them away I fear
