The Mask

When we go in public. we do not go alone.

We have to put in our mask before we step out the door,

Because we are afraid of reality.

Afraid of people's thoughts about us.

Afraid of showing our true colors.

The mask has grown to be a part of our lives.

Some people lose their mask, because they have a burst of courage.

Our masks hide us from ourselves.

It hides all of our insecurities, and makes us feel like we fit in.

When we remove our mask we become our selves,

Being yourself is the best thing you can be.

You are beautiful alone,

You are perfect the way you are.

No mask is needed for you to be loved.

Learn to smile, because somebody in this big world loves you.
