The Meaning of Love

Endless tears fell down her face ,
Representing years of
her belief in faith.
Married to a man not
worthy of her loyalty ,
Left her broken ,
mentally abused and
lonely.
28 years passed  before she could find her way ,
But when she got tired
she left one day.
Turned to darkness to
camouflage her pain ,
Fought endless demons by herself &  ashamed.
Noone in her life tried
to understand ,
Holding her down for
the sins of an evil man.
She tried to move on
without the right one ,
Before she could heal
they would all run.
Finally one day God
stepped in ,
That's when our destiny together would begin.
I stood beside her as she did beside me ,
We guided each other
through darkness when the other couldn't see.
Now almost a year has passed  ,
And our love continues to grow and last.
She defeated her
demons mostly on her
own ,
I helped through as she helped me become
strong.
I'm the one now blessed with this queen ,
Together we will
continue to show the
world what true love
really means.
I thank God everyday
for her devotion & love ,
She has been  forever
the lady I was 
dreaming of.
Never give up on a
person when they're
down ,
Because if you pass
them by they will never 
be found.
Stand beside them no
matter the cost ,
In the end you'll
discover they were
never lost.
God has a plan for us all to live ,
Because lifes not about what you got but about what you give.
