The Messiah

The Messiah

The King of the Jews was no sinner,
He had a gentle and loving manner.
Falsely accused for blasphemy,
charged for making a true prophecy.

He gave light and hope to the world,
the Messiah was a precious gold.
His death was inhumane and uncivilized,
tortured till blood pressure lowered.

He endured ridicule without saying a word,
His humility found in the double edged sword.
The Son of David was a man of peace,
but at the crucifixion violence he faced.

Claiming to be more than a man ,
filled jealousy in the heart of an ordinary man.
Jesus was sent from heaven above,
to rescue the world with his love.

He died on the cross, breathing his last,
but rose again which was a blast.
The devil taught he won,
but the risen saviour proved him wrong.

He went to hell and snatched the keys to death,
giving eternal life to all on earth.
Jesus lives forever more, He is coming again,
only this time not be slain.
