The Mirror

The Mirror

Looking in the mirror
Don't like what I see
Who is this stranger
Staring back at me

Can't stand what I see
Yet, I can't look away
This stranger in the mirror
Is here to stay

The mirror has no secrets
The mirror tells no lies
It can't hear my screams
It can't hear my cries

So I just sit and stare
At this strangers face
I try to look away
But I'm frozen in place

The mirror just stands
And stares into my soul
Dragging me down
Into a deep, dark hole

I don't like this mirror
I don't know what to do
Maybe tomorrow
I'll see someone new

Wow this is powerful, I have looked in the mirror to and didn't ever like what I saw. It brought back the feelings of my past. Well written.
