Poem -
THE MISSED FLIGHT
My darling was booked on the seven o'clock flightÂ
Everything packed and the suitcase was jammed tight
The taxi arrived at spot on four
I would miss my darling that is for sure
Disaster struck howev​er on the way to the airport
Heavy traffic meant that plane would not be caught
The flight was missed and my darling was upsetÂ
The nightmare journey is something to forget
So on Sunday my darling will try to leave England again
Hopefully this time the traffic will cause her no pain

I feigned sadness, when she missed her flight
But really with me, it was quite all right
For it meant more time, next to me she'd lay
More time rolling in the hay
And nestling together, through the night
