THE MISSED FLIGHT

My darling was booked on the seven o'clock flight 
Everything packed and the suitcase was jammed tight
The taxi arrived at spot on four
I would miss my darling that is for sure

Disaster struck howev​er on the way to the airport
Heavy traffic meant that plane would not be caught
The flight was missed and my darling was upset 
The nightmare journey is something to forget

So on Sunday my darling will try to leave England again
Hopefully this time the traffic will cause her no pain
