Poem -

The more you tighten your Grip

The more they will slip through your fingers.

It amazes how,
all can be taken,

all the shared work,
all the shared time,
all that was built,
all that was grown.

And blame can be named,
the recipient shamed,
no mirror is present,
the sick are the guilty.

Righteous blame of the guilty,
never a shadow,
the finger is pointed.

Shame used,
as judgment of guilt,
innocence pays,
as does the repentant.
