The muddy hippopotamus

The ginormous hippopotamus is plastered with mud
Tho he would prefer to be spotless if only he could

Obviously extremely difficult
To give himself a bath
He makes such a commotion
Hippopotimi are filled with wrath

His problem is his shape
An enormous bulbous blob
No arms, hands, only legs
Such an incredible job

Wallowing in muddy lakes
Never spick & span
Sweatingly hot
Requiring a fan

Spare a thought for this mammal
A monotonous life
Often raged in battle
Tremendous strife
