THE NEW NORMAL FOR HER

She got up from her bed like many times before 
Wondering no doubt what the day had in store 
A shower some breakfast and a splash of perfume 
The new normal meant working from her living room 

Calls came in and were answered with poise 
No distractions outside nor background noise
Lunch time came and to her kitchen she went
Decided her sandwich filling was a big event 

The afternoon was busy the calls still did arrive 
Soon be time to leave it was almost five
The evening meal she prepared was easy and quick 
Time to relax and a magazine she started to flick

The new normal and this lady was in bed by ten
Ready no doubt to do the routine tomorrow again
Missed her work colleagues that is for certain 
Goodnight world as she drew her curtain
