The Northern Skies Of Summer

We are lost, once more
On the northern skies of summer
Where winter calls her robbins
home

And they flock
Obedient parched sundrenched
Branded red by memories
The burning emblem proudly worn
On breasts and hearts,
In eyes...

That watch us as we flounder
On the southern skies of winter
Parched and burned and,
Burned out
For we are lost, once more
On the southern edge of winter
Waiting and waiting
For a gentler sky of spring

Beautiful my friend, I love the use of nature here to describe that sensation of loss and desperately waiting on tender hooks for some light and better days

Being Me

Such a clever and beautiful metaphorical write. All of your words are chosen perfectly. Love this. When hearts bleed they REALLY bleed x
