Poem -

The Ones We Left Behind

I stare into the void that you left behind,
I have so many things to say to you,
You are in stasis, not aging anymore,
And I miss you terribly too.

Your absence is totally missed,
You saw so much in your lifetime,
You did things differently back then,
But you've missed so much of mine.

I feel comfort that you had to leave,
The pain was way too much to bear,
But it doesn't make it any easier,
I hope you are pain-free over there.

People say that God exists,
But these days I'm not so sure,
He takes away those we love,
And we always ask what for?

I reflect often on what things would of been if someone lost were still around. Shared experiences, someone to chat with and all that, watching children growing up. Although not completed, your thoughts are important to me, don't hold back.

Most of us believe that God is some entity looking down on us, when we ask our priest "why do bad things happen" they say, it's god will. God is an energy, he is every atom all at once and does not care for our blood and bones upon this earth, it's hard to fathom, the illusion of a god that helps us has been around for thousands of years, a false ideology.

Death you would think is something we could get use to, afterall, people die every moment of our short lives.
I believe in the not to distant future, science will cure death, for there are those out there now, curing death.

I'm sorry for your loss x
