The Past

The past is lost yet to be found
Did you dig deep enough into the ground
Just give up let it go
She won’t quit she keeps yelling “NO!”
The past is the past it cannot be changed
She doesn’t care she’s going deranged
She wants to change it all
She feels like she’s going to fall
She hates her life and wants it gone
She all alone no place to call home
She was abused by her stepdad
It messed her up she’s going mad
Watched own mom getting beat half to death
She couldn’t move to get her mother help
Now she’s in a hospital about half dead
She decided to shot drugs in her head
Never heard of anyone doing that have you
When she told the doctors they didn’t believe it was true
They got her stable and asked her questions
She was annoyed all she felt was frustration
She wants to go back to erase all that was done
She was always stressed had no time for fun
This little girl had a story to tell
But nobody took the time to get to know her well
She tried to talk but they thought she was lying
She knew they wouldn’t care even if she was dying
She gave up and wrote goodbye
Trying her hardest not to cry
