The Pepple

A wind blew, carrying a stone in the air
That sand it landed on felt so warm inviting
That pebble looked up in the air
Oh how the sun was warm but what was thisĀ
That sound of thunder , roaring from afarĀ
It made the pebble trembleĀ

Soon that wave hit it , ever so tender
Making the pebble trembleĀ
Those movements of water surroundingĀ
Washing and lathering the stoneĀ
Round and round and up and downĀ
The pebble trembled and quivered.

As the water flowed fasterĀ
It shifted that stoneĀ
While on its sandy throne all alone
Swirls of pleasure it felt for the pebbleĀ
And yet it came to a stopĀ
The pebble just lay there all wet and confused
But in the distance the roar was heard.
