The Perfect Disguise

I seen him, but what he did not know was I seen right through him
The desperation, desire, and sorrow in his eyes
Deep temptation knocking at the door, confusion on his mind
He smiled on the outside staring at his phone
Searching through laughter his perfect disguise
He loves her, He loves her not
The question so perdominant
Like picking petals off a rose
In search for an answer as each petal falls
Maybe hope
Why now after so many years
Why now the sudden hole
The question, Temptation's proposition taking control
But little does he know
His wife sleeps beside crying wondering what did she do wrong
Is it worth losing it all
Saying if there's a God save him before he's gone
But Temptation so persistent the way she creeps up behind whispering all the right words to seduce him

Listen she tells him listen to me, I will give you all, I'll be there and never make you feel lost,
Listen to me I will give you your hearts desire, something she can't provide,
Listen to my voice and lose it all, listen to me because I give you that smile and offer you everlasting happiness, sounds so pleasant so why are you still questioning this

Because part of you is lost, stuck in a trance of what if, possibly, maybe, could she?
But the truth is your lost inside seeking for the perfect disguise because you don't know how much longer you can hold
Hold from the constant battle you have with in yourself, so much going on, that the truth is your still looking to find
Who you truly are inside
