THE PERILS OF TOO MUCH ALCOHOL

THE PERILS OF TOO MUCH ALCOHOL

He was violently sick on the pavement floor
Somehow he staggered home and walked through hisΒ door
Poor Charlie was confused and could not think
Such are the perils of too much alcoholic drink

Five thousand diggers were pounding in Charlie's head
He stumbled upstairs and got ready for bed
For Charlie one beer was never enough
An explanation why perhaps he was feeling rough

Next morning when Charlie awoke at breakfast time
Eating his cornflakes proved to be a pantomime
If you want my advice stick on just the one beer
Unless you want to end up like Charlie with a hangover I fear
