The poet Picasso

If Picasso was a poet
would he tell his tale of Guernica in rhyme?
In carefully structured stanzas?
In pen and ink describe the crime?
I'd like to think he'd scrawl in charcoal
smudged with tears across the page,
not choke and smother his emotion
with words trapped inside a cage.
