THE PRINCE OF DENMARK

The Prince of Denmark came to my city the other day
He liked it so much he decided to stay
He admired the castle and the cathedral too
Just like Copenhagen from his point of view

All the local ladies thought the Prince was a handsome man
They flattered their eyelashes like only ladies can
The Prince however was not interested in their attention
He was happy being a bachelor I have to mention

I pass the Prince of Denmark pub on the way to work
As I smile to myself and start to smirk
I wonder if my story is really factual and true
If you believe it that's just up to you

We do have some wonderful pub names dont we?As a teenager I would go to the 'Trip to Jerusalem'Pub which is the oldest and must be one of the smallest in England..and everytime I went in I thought of crusaders on their way to fight...A pub that always puzzled me was called the 'Who'da thought it?' I wonder what that thought was? Loved your piece, humourous, Thoughtful and utterly charming!   Lodigiana xx
