The Proposal (scots)
On ane knee Ah bend tae ye,
Muh ain true bonnie lass
If Ah didnae hae yer heart
Ah ken muh life wad pass.
Sae tae hear ye speekit yes
An telt me hoo ye care
Then we wull aye be the gether
Fer noo an er'e mair.
Sae heres tae ye muh bonnie lass
We'll drink a dram or three
An tae thae bonds o wedded bliss
By the bonnie banks o Dee.
