The Queen And I

The Queen And I

The greatest Broadway Show in history, was called “The King and I”;

Yul Brenner was it’s major star, the best ticket one could buy!

It toured the world for decades, attendance records did it set;

If you wanted to see a stage play, no better did it get!

But now I am creating a new show, it’s called, “The Queen And I”;

The lead part was early given, to my honey, sweetie pie!

For no one could ever play it, the part was written just for you;

The Queen who looked upon me, and said “I love you true”!

But this play won’t take place in Siam, instead the U.S.A.;

It will tell of the night I met you, and I saw the “Sacred Way”!

You led me to Nirvana, this peasant and his Queen;

You knew that we were soulmates, our union long foreseen!

A lot of people watched us, as we pledged eternal love;

God’s messengers came to record it, sent down from up above!

Now twenty five years later, my soul you daily feed;

Your love for me is priceless, it is all I’ll ever need!

Dear Richard,

The bond between hearts, and the bond between souls.  The two most beautiful things that anyone could ever ask for.  Thank you so much for your lovely words.
