THE QUEST

THE QUEST

WHO AM I
I NEED TO KNOW

YOU GAVE ME A NAME
IV’E ACCEPTED IT
AND THEN YOU LEFT ME
TO FIND MYSELF
IN THE DARKNESS OF  THIS LIFE

I DREAM OF THE LIGHT
BUT  EVEN IN THE LIGHT I AM LOST
UNABLE TO FIND MYSELF
IN THIS TURBULENT WORLD

I AM A DRIFTER CARRIED BY A DREAM
WITH A HOPE OF FINDING MY TRUE IDENTITY
OUTSIDE THE NAME YOU HAVE GIVEN ME

AND TIME IS WAVING GOODBYE.

WILFORD BARKER.
