The Questions of Old

Questions of Old

The questions of old that have plagued the mind,

Are the questions, that may leave you behind.

To ponder on them with so much time,

Will only distance you, from what is sublime.

Those who require knowing where we began,

Will only burden the soul to the very end.

The how we came to be, is one of many,

But does it really matter, there are plenty.

When will all this end, is one with tenacity,

Those who live for this, may lose their sanity.

The lingering why in knowing the purpose of life,

Is the question, that has created the most strife.
