Poem -
The Reaper Has Met His Match
Inspired by POETESSDARKLY
A new Grand Chess Master has been sent down.
He arrives to save the meek from the Reaper,
So they may inherit the Earth.
The match is played for Humanity.
The Reaper agrees to the terms.
No checkmate victory,
And the βNewβ Master,
Delegates whom the Reaper may claim.
The new Grand Master, seeing the ploy to checkmate him,
Wisely eschews, and plays to a stalemate.
The Reaper honors his terms.
The Master gives him all the evil and nefarious.
Then he returns to the Heavens, bidding the cheering meek Goodbye,
Knowing that the Earth is now saved.
