THE RELUCTANT VAMPIRE...(a silly poem inspired by Tony Taylor ...couldn't resist ????)

It appears I'm still a vampire
But they will not have their way
I can think of nothing worse
Than drinking blood all day

And im a vegan for god's sake
You'd think that they would know
I so wish they would all just leave
Just bugger off and go...

And the pomp and the ceremony!
The dramatic pose!!
The ridiculous teeth!!!
And the cobwebby clothes!!!!...

I just detest so much cruelty
I abhor the dark cold nights
And I shall not leave this coffin
To go on moonlit flights!!...

So I shall just read my book
In the crypts candlelight
For knowledge is power
In this extremely long life...
???

My Dear Lady Marion,

Your poem is "bloody" hysterical, especially as one sinks his teeth into it.
I'm sure Tony, like the rest of us, had a great laugh.

I am, a "Reluctant Vampire" who hates my morbid job
I refuse to use my sharp teeth, and blood from people rob
In my coffin during darkened hours, I read the night away
Gaining knowledge that I thirst for, then sleep on every day
