The River
Upon reaching a river, I know it shall be crossed.
Nothing can hamper a determination to proceed.
Never am I able to accept that everything is lost.
There is a strength of will driving me to succeed !

No obstacle or event can ever hinder my progress.
On this arduous journey I have received the lesson.
Now, gaining all I need to realize what I envisage,
This heart is surely ready for whatever may come !

The waters may rise to be a vicious swirling torrent.
This shall not diminish my commitment to progress.
Various struggles mean I will always remain defiant.
I shall achieve what I set out to do and nothing less !

In giving up you have accepted the worst outcome. A positive approach acknowledges the future is not set and can yet be influenced for the best. If we come together taking action to help each other then there is every likelihood a more desirable situation will be realized.

The right attitude is at least half the battle won !
Determination to succeed or prevail is crucial in life encouraging the will to persevere whatever the circumstance.
To give up is to accept the worst. Not attempting to change anything for the better including your personal situation is letting fate dictate terms or allowing others without your interests at heart to impose their will on you, which is relinquishing freedom or control of your destiny. For example, why tolerate an evil dictatorship governing society determining a future you did not wish ? !
