The Dutch cared
and had their views heard
under clear blue skies
when winter gives birth
to spring: new hopes, new dreams
brighter future!
A small country of seventeen million people-
tolerant, multicultural
twenty five political parties,
nine hundred aspirants
of foreign background
everyone vying for obvious reasons!
The only country in the world
where animals are on the march-
The party for the animals (PvdD)
gain more seats,
the left-wing environmentalist stand out (Groen Links),
to others shutting down nuclear power plant,
paralyzing economy for animals and mother
nature sound absurd.
No! to Brexit; No! to Trump;
No! to "wrong kind of populism"
a reboot to European Union,
pump more money, then be dumb!
What next?
Will they keep their promises?
They drink the same cup of tea
learn to trust again
change is what really people expect to see!

Hi Greg, yes indeed. They make promises they can't keep!! But I am No to the anti Islam of the far right either ### I voted for the Democrats 66 because one of their programs is to increase government budget on Education and innovation - increase salary of teachers, lower down the own risk on medical care!! But majority speaks!! So be it!!
