The Santa Ana Winds

Strange things happen when Santa Ana winds blow
They take you to places and people you know .
They blow into your dreams and into your mind
Sometimes they blow cruel
Sometimes they blow kind
The night wind is whistling as it bends through the trees.
Deep in my slumber my love whispers my name.
Come back to me my lover hold me close once again.
I fly out from my body into the wild rain.
Flying, over the treetops and down to the sea
I follow the pathway until a church steeple I see
The moon is a candle the storm is my light
I see my lover ahead in the wild night.
She blows into my spirit and we become one.Β
Above the raging wild foam we embrace and soar
I hold onto my lover I am alone no more.
The storm it crescendos the Gods shout and roar
Her lips .reach for me and she touches my tears.
The winds blow away sad lost years.
Come with my lover ....come with me back home.
I reach to kiss her but touch granite stone.
Her name is engraved Β in letters of gold.
My love she has gone no more to grow old.
Strange things they happen when Santa Ana winds blow.
They bring you to places and people you know
They play with your dreams and enter your mind
Sometimes they blow cruel and not kind
These Santa Ana Β winds exist in California
-And Good and Bad things do Happen-
Beware theres a Santa Ana brewing.
